Proteinex® 18 Liquid Protein is a significant source of protein
which supplies all the essential amino acids by hydrolyzing the animal
protein collagen. Proteinex-18 contains predigested protein and is therefore
utilized 100%. The product is already broken down to its amino acid portions
that the body can easily assimilate and absorb. As a food supplement,
2 tablespoons (30 mL) daily provides 18 grams of protein hydrolysate.
Proteinex 18 is easily absorbed and may be used by patients with fluid
restrictions. Promotes healing of wounds or repair of tissues and helps
to prevent tissue breakdown. Does not contain sugar, fat, carbohydrates
or phosphorus. Comes ready to use and will not clog feeding tubes. May
be mixed with any beverage the patient may choose, or with foods like
apple sauce, oatmeal or Jello. Proteinex 18 Liquid also contains little
