Directions for Preparation and Use for Neocate Jr:

The amount of Neocate to take should be determined by a healthcare professional and is dependent on the age, body weight and medical condition of the patient. Neocate® Junior provides complete or supplemental nutritional support for children over 1 year of age. Use under medical supervision. For oral and tube feeding only; not for parenteral use.

For oral or tube feeding:

1. Wash hands thoroughly and clean the preparation area.
2. Pour the required amount of water into container.
3. Add 1 unpacked, level scoop of powder to each 1 fl oz of water.
4. Stir, or cover and shake, until the powder has dissolved. Feed OR refrigerate immediately and use within 24 hours. Once feeding begins, use within 1 hour or discard.

If taken orally, Neocate® Junior is best served chilled.

The recommended standard dilution is 1 Cal/mL. This can be achieved by mixing 1 unpacked, level scoop of powder to each fluid ounce of water, as in the following table:
