Tokyo Marathon 2020 Cancelled

With the pandemic Coronavirus affecting many populated areas of the world, the race organizers of the 2020 Tokyo Marathon have cancelled the race this morning.  Many of the athletes are upset with this news as it can be an expensive trip especially for those who have not purchased race cancellation insurance for situations like this. Those particularily upset are the runners who are looking to obtain their World Marathon Majors 6 Star Medallion.  It's an award for those who have completed the Tokyo Marathon, Boston Marathon, Berlin Marathon, Chicago Marathon, New York City Marathon and the London Marathon.

At CWI Medical, we have been slowly doing our best to fullfill as many orders for personal protection such as facemasks, but the demand is much stronger than the supply. We continue to received calls and emails to purchase supplies from us and we are getting orders out.

While this is sad news, these races have not cancelled. 

• Publix Atlanta Marathon: Atlanta, GA
• Cowtown Marathon: Fort Worth, TX
• Little Rock Marathon: Little Rock, AR
• Marathon of the Treasure Coast: Stuart, FL
• Napa Valley Marathon: Calistoga, CA
• Newport News One City Marathon: Newport News, VA
• Rock Into March: Long Beach, CA
• Baikal Ice Marathon: Russia
• Buffs Marathon: South Africa
• GIG Malta Marathon: Malta
• Kilimanjaro Marathon: Tanzania
• Lala Marathon: Mexico
• Maratona sulla sabbia: Italy
• Meadows Marathon: Scotland
• Guatamala Marathon: Guatamala
• Quang Binh Discovery Marathon: Vietnam (Most likely will be cancelled)
• WOW Marathon Phu Quoc: Vietnam (Most likely will be cancelled)
• Tianan Ancient Capital Marathon: Taiwan (Most likely will be cancelled)

While these races have not officially cancelled, there is a high likleihood for cancellation.  Please stay tuned or postpone until you know the virus has settled down.
