What does an Ironman Triathlon have to do with Green Soap?

The tincture of grean soap has helped keep many Ironman MDot Tattoos clean and healthy over many years. Everyone who has gotten a Ironman triathlon tattoo, probably has had green soap tattoo cleanser sprayed on to keep that art site free from infection and to heal faster. Most have gotten a mdot inked on one their calves as a symbol of their hardwork, other on the back of the next, and other body parts. The dedication to this single event tremendous. Hours upon hours of training and sacrifice is devoted to a single day. It's one of the toughest if not the toughest single day events ever created, and this tribal symbol is reserved for those who have done the 140.6 under 17 hours. At a few races, athletes all want to hear Mike Reily's voice, "You are an Ironman!"

An Ironman full distance triathlon starts with a 2.4 mile open water swim, followed by a 112 mile bike and finishes with a 26.2 mile run for a 140.6 mile race all to be completed in 17 hours with 10-20 hours per week of training leading to race day. The swim is heald in a river, lake, reservoir, bay or ocean. The bike course can be held on highways and local roads consisting of a single loop or multiple loops. The run course can also be a single loop or multiple loops on public and private roads. The Ironman Triathlon events are held across the world with the Ironman World Championships held on the third week of October in Kona, Hawaii. Everyone competing at the World Championships have qualified in one way or another. Ironman also produces a Half Ironman Distance event called the 70.3, a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike and a 13.1 mile half marathon.
